Hello Sarina, My mother phoned me full of sheer delight about her flowers! Burgundy! Nice choice. The Purple Rose of Cairo is a favorite film and, obviously for mother, a new connection.But the most important thing is that I was correct in going for flowers other than fall colours. Mother was thrilled with seeing colours that are chosen for her, not the season; symbolizing the energy and passion with which she lives her life. And as she moves into her eightieth year, being given reds and wines and burgundies did the trick! She loved the vase (nice touch!). We're good collaborators, Sarina.
